Vanessa and Janie are best friends… until a devastating diagnosis forces them to consider what that friendship means and how much it matters. Vanessa is sick, and she’s getting sicker, while Janie is embarking on a new love affair. As Janie tries to balance her role as a caretaker with her dreams for her own future, the cracks in the friendship begin to emerge. An exploration of aging, mortality, and the value and complexity of female friendship in a patriarchal society.
Our resident lighting designer just won this incredible award (True West Award 2020).
We are so proud of Lily Bradford!!

Directed by Lisa Young, starring Emily Tuckman and Damon Guerrasio
Synopsis: New Orleans, 2006, a year after Hurricane Katrina. In this quirky sweet story of hope, we learn what happens after the media has gone. In rationalizing great tragedy, Leila and Jordan find themselves stagnant and detached. And as secrets slowly rise to the surface, they soon find each other as perhaps their only hope from their own self-destruction. This is a dry, witty, emotionally driven piece about two people clinging to one another as their external structure falls apart
